The Department of Biology welcomes and encourages the intention to complete a semester or internship abroad. Study periods at suitable universities abroad have many advantages for students. They enable faster and more comprehensive learning of a foreign language, familiarization with a different culture, i.e. getting to know the country and its people in a normal situation. The content of the course can differ in terms of the selection and level of difficulty and thus expand the teaching in a meaningful way.

Despite the structured programs offered, semesters abroad are always an individual matter. For this reason, Prof. Dr. Nicole Frankenberg-Dinkel and Prof. Dr. Zuzana Storchova are available as contact persons at the Biology department. All planned semesters abroad and internships should be discussed and coordinated with regard to the possible recognition of credits earned abroad beforethe start of the study abroad program. Prof. Dr. Nicole Frankenberg-Dinkel is mainly responsible for studying abroad, while Prof. Dr. Zuzana Storchova can help you with internships abroad.
