The Biology department invites you to the Microscopy Competition 2025!

Whether animal, plant, bacterial or technical specimens - we are looking for the most beautiful microscopic images from our department. Anything that is scientifically or artistically convincing is allowed.

Conditions of participation:

• All current and former members at RPTU are eligible to participate.
• Each person may submit one picture.
• The picture must have been taken by the participant.
• Apart from color and contrast settings etc., the image should not be subsequently
  edited (e.g. no captions should be added).
• Please include a short, generally understandable description: What can be seen in the picture? How was it taken (e.g. microscope model,
  lens/magnification, special settings)?
• Declaration of consent for publication of the submitted image
• Images that have already been submitted in the 2023 competition are excluded from participation and may not be resubmitted.

One image from all entries will be selected as the "Microscopy Image of the Year 2025"
