Internships in the biology department
Important information on work placements in the Biology department:
Dear students!
The Biology department regularly receives requests for so-called company internships. In principle, it is possible to complete such internships with us. This primarily provides an insight into university education, which in biology consists of about 50% practical laboratory work.
A work placement in our department is therefore primarily of interest to upper secondary school students who want to know whether or not university life as a life sciences student is an option for them. However, due to the high workload in our laboratories, the number of internship places is very limited. The internship places are not allocated centrally by the Dean's Office, but by the working groups in the Biology department, depending on capacity. Please inform yourself about the departmental working groups, e.g. on our homepage under subject areas, and send your internship request directly to the secretariats of the working groups.
Good luck with your further education and
Yours sincerely
Dean's Office of the Biology Department
