German Language
Although German proficiency is not a prerequisite to start the master program, successful applicants are obliged to accomplish the following:

  • attend the Intensive Language and Orientation Course offered by the International School for Graduate Studies (ISGS) at the University of Kaiserslautern
  • after two semesters, take and pass the special German exam called DSI (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für Studierende in internationalen Studiengängen)
Assessment Fee
For the verification and acceptance of foreign qualifications and certificates, a fee of 50 € must be paid in accordance with the "Special Tariff of Fees" (Besonderes Gebührenverzeichnis) of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Payment of fee will be requested after submission of application.
