Major excursion - objectives and content


The module handbook and the curricular standards provide for a "major excursion". The following points are listed as competencies and content:

Students can plan and design learning environments of self-directed subject-related learning and prepare and carry out a major excursion.
Design and significance of extracurricular learning locations & planning and implementation of excursions
The design and implementation of the excursion should, on the one hand, meet these requirements and, on the other hand, provide as many starting points and even materials as possible that can be taken up again later in school lessons.
The current concept therefore envisages integrating extracurricular learning locations in Frankfurt am Main in the form of the zoo, the Senckenberg Museum and the Botanical Gardens and processing them in terms of subject didactics. If the future school location does not allow a visit to precisely these sites despite good transport connections, there is still previous experience with three classic extracurricular places of learning (museum, zoo, botanical garden) that can be incorporated into the integration of regional offers.

In small groups, possibilities for integrating the ALOs into school events, organizational timetables and legal issues are to be worked out.
