General research interests and projects
The activities of subject didactics can be divided into research and teaching projects. Both areas include school and university projects, so that students and pupils can take on different roles at different levels of teaching and learning research. An unsorted list summarizes the activities:

Various new teaching concepts and further developments, such as the BeiBringBasar and student internships and taster courses (e.g. Komm' rein - Find's raus) at university level, have resulted from the work and collaborations as "products" that can be used in practice.
The subject areas of the student internships and taster courses include, for example
- Alzheimer's - cooperation with the AG Human Biology
- Food analysis (nutrients, ingredients and GMO content) - cooperation with the Plant Physiology & Phytopathology working group
- Evolution of plants - cooperation with the AG Plant Physiology
- Ecophysiology of sewage treatment plants
- Ecophysiological adaptations of photosynthesis to strong and weak light
- Production and approval procedures of GMO plants
