Course Content: Students will read reviews and original research papers dealing with mechanisms underlying membrane transport and neurodegenerative diseases.
Week 1: Membrane Transport in Health and Disease (Prof. Maritzen)
Week 2: Neurodegeneration (Prof. Kins)
Start: Right at the beginning of each summer semester

Neural Function

Course Content: Students will read text book chapters, reviews and original research papers dealing with the principles of neurobiology and the importance of vesicular transport for neurotransmission.
Week 1: Basics of neurobiology (Prof. Kins)
Week 2: Synaptic transmission – the vesicular transport perspective (Prof. Maritzen)
Start: Right at the beginning of each winter semester
