Major Research Interests:
Our group uses quantitative mass spectrometry to monitor global proteome changes upon various perturbations. One major research focus is DNA repair. Using Xenopus egg extracts we study how DNA lesions are repaired in the context of ongoing DNA replication. We develop mass spectrometry workflows to monitor protein recruitment and damage signaling during the repair process. In biochemical assays we dissect the molecular events required to bypass DNA lesions and to maintain genomic stability during cell division. research pages
