Confocal Laser Scanning-microscope with FCS and FLIM-modul
Leica Stellaris 8 FALCON + FCS (2023)
Stellaris 8 is a true confocal point scanning system, including a White Light Laser as excitation light source, an Acousto Optical Beam Splitter (AOBS) and a highly sensitive, prism-based spectral detection design with computer controlled adjustable bandwidth for all fluorescence channels. The FALCON module includes FLIM analysis tools, such as exponential fitting, FLIM phasor analysis, pattern fitting and FLIM-FRET analyzer. It allows to sense physical and chemical properties and to quantify fast processes, like molecular interaction or molecular environment changes. The FCS module system provides a solution for fluorescence correlation and crosscorrelation spectroscopy (FCS/FCCS) measurements. It allows to measure local flow velocities and migration velocieties of molecules as well as diffusion times, gives insight into dynamics of the energy states of a fluorophore like triplet or blinking dynamics and much more.
