Journées techniques Cistude d'Europe

PhD candidates Isabell Kuhn and Stefanie Knell participated in the "Journées technique Cistude d'Europe" in Rochefort, France, where they presented the result of their research to the french community of researchers and land managers working with the European pond turtle Emys orbicularis.

Isabell gave a talk about her recent publication: "Trophic interactions between the European pond turtle(Emy orbicularis) and invasive non-native species". Stefanie presented results from her current work on GPS data: "GPS telemetry provides new insights into the nesting behavior and habitat usage of the European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis)".

Furthermore Jean-Yves Georges presented results from the work of external PhD candidate Carolin Eichert on the health and microbiome of reintroduced turtles.
